Contract:  11 month fixed term contract / secondment

In a nutshell

This role is responsible for Communications within the People (HR) and Finance transformation programme. A high priority, strategic transformation programme, operating with multiple programme streams and sub-workstreams and delivering functional and technology change across the enterprise.

Our vision for the People and Finance transformation programme is to modernise our tools and simplify our processes to enable our people to work at their best. This is enabled through the implementation of Oracle Fusion (Cloud), which is replacing our current on-premise legacy system Oracle EBS.

Join our established Change and Training Workstream as a skilled Communications Lead, Reporting to the Senior Change Manager. In this role, you will develop and implement a communication plan to engage collaborators, customers, partners, and colleagues. Your focus will be on delivering effective communications collateral to support effective change and successful adoption of new technology.

Day to day


  • Shape and deliver a Communications strategy and plan that builds enthusiasm for change and empowers colleagues to lead, embrace and embed change.
  • Work with various teams to develop and deliver on-brand messaging for change management and user adoption.
  • Manage and improve internal communication channels, including town halls, live events, intranet, internal social media platforms, and digital tools.
  • Develop and distribute digital, social media, and print content to convey change-related messages effectively.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive communication plan for the system cutover phase. This plan will ensure that all collaborators are informed of the schedule and understand the impact on their respective teams.
  • Establish metrics to assess the efficiency of communication efforts. Analyse data and insights to continuously improve communication strategies and tactics.

About you

  • Extensive experience delivering communications on large, complex programmes.
  • Experience of crafting/delivering communications to facilitate people-centred Technology change in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience of one or more finance and/or people system implementations preferable, particularly experience of Oracle Fusion an advantage.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, able to engage and motivate others and drive agreement for change.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing, web-based communications, and web page development.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Understanding of core areas of change management (change theory, engagement, behaviours and training).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to cope with pressure and support extended working hours at peak times.
  • Experience of working within a diverse and complex organisation.
  • Collaborative approach to work, promoting effective teamwork, diversity and inclusion.
