In a nutshell

We are seeking a Forecasting and Planning Leader to join our team at Virgin Atlantic team at London Heathrow. In this pivotal role, you will optimize airport operations at London Heathrow through resource planning and allocation. Your exceptional leadership, analytical and communication skills will be highly valued as you develop efficient scheduling and utilization plans. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth and cost-effective operations. This leadership position requires the successful implementation of pivotal initiatives and continuous improvement to benefit our people, customers, and overall performance.

Day to day

  • Lead demand planning and resource allocation teams to ensure efficient and effective airport operations.
  • Build an inspired and motivated team, setting clear performance expectations and accountabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with Team Heathrow employees to build confidence in resource planning efforts.
  • Work closely with Airport & Clubhouse leaders and other collaborators to ensure smooth operations.
  • Create and maintain operational schedules for various airport functions to maximise resource utilisation.
  • Ensure scheduling and allocation decisions align with regulations and safety standards.
  • Manage data-driven analysis to improve operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for process optimisation and performance enhancement.
  • Implement advanced airport management systems to enhance scheduling accuracy and communication.

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Resourceful individual skilled at finding solutions and consistently improving outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in specialised software for resource allocation, scheduling, and data analysis is helpful
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with collaborators.
  • Experience in demand planning and utilisation modelling.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to inspire and lead a team to success.
  • Enthusiastic and thought-provoking approach to comprehending business strategies and inspiring change.
