In a nutshell

Join us as an Analyst \- Loyalty Accounting, you will support the production of accurate accounting and invoicing for loyalty transactions to Virgin Red (VR). This will include ensuring accurate pricing of loyalty transactions, resolution of points variances between systems and working with other teams to ensure all transactions including points accruals, issued redemptions, refunds and flown events are processed and reflected in a timely manner. 

This role will work with the Finance Analyst for Loyalty Accounting to produce reporting (including balance sheet reconciliations), to answer queries, questions, and audit inquiries on reports/invoicing to ensure process controls operate as intended.

Day to day

  • Assist with the design and implementation of new processes and products in conjunction with our Virgin Red loyalty partner.
  • Responsible for leading the manual pricing of loyalty coupons (where necessary) pulling required rates from VAA data/systems.
  • Working with revenue accounts, loyalty and customer centre teams providing central finance support and guidance to assist those teams in resolving points exceptions.
  • Communicate with and respond to queries from VR on loyalty reports and invoices ensuring the appropriate stakeholders are kept informed of status and with aim of building an effective business relationship between the VAA and VR team.
  • Assist in the production and/or review of the full suite of loyalty reports.
  • Actively contribute to driving forward key system and/process changes which both support the delivery of initiatives to grow and enhance the loyalty programme and introduce greater automation whilst ensuring financial controls are maintained. 
  • Identify potential improvement opportunities during the day-to-day work and push these forward leading on implementation where appropriate.
  • Continue to build and improve understanding of the loyalty ecosystem and commercial proposition.

About you

You will have a can-do attitude, show a commitment to high quality output within deadlines, have a true awareness of wider business context and a pro-active \'want to learn\' approach to the role. Finally, you will drive this same commitment to excellence in your interactions with the wider Finance Operations team. In addition, you will:
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume transactional environment with exposure to systems and tools such as ticket pricing and financial flows.
  • Good attention to detail driving accuracy and completeness in reporting and invoicing, in addition leading small project from concept to completion.
  • Evidence of Identify issues and risks, highlighting these to management and participating in the problem resolution. 
  • Excellent communication skills to enable collaborative working at all levels, with evidence of working to tight deadlines in busy environment.
  • Good MS Office skills with an ability to manipulate large volumes of data in Excel and draw conclusions.
  • Previous experience of working with offshore suppliers or revenue accounts and/or previous loyalty program knowledge would be advantageous.
