Finance Business Partnering
Finance Business Partners work across the airline to build an infrastructure that enables effective management. We make sure decision making aligns with the airline’s overall strategic goals and we work collaboratively with Virgin Holidays.
As a conduit between the business and management, you must have great interpersonal skills, professional rigor, objectivity and be proactive. You’ll need to keep an eye out for potential opportunities and help the business stay resilient. Through building trust and accountability with various senior stakeholders and being involved with strategic projects these roles are varied, interesting and challenging (and it’s a fun team to be a part of).
Finance Business Partners create flexibility for each Business area and encourage change, driving the importance of relationship and communication through the use of their business acumen, and technical expertise. The ability to translate the numbers into a business story is vital.
The Procurement team at Virgin Atlantic prides itself on adding value through great commercial outcomes. The competitive demands of the airline industry put pressure on our costs. We work to recognise, share and pursue business opportunities to maximise business benefit.
