In a nutshell
Day to day
- Develop efficient planning and reporting frameworks and processes and minimise complexity whilst providing clear, concise, accurate and insightful output.
- Design, develop and document user-friendly tools to support day-to-day treasury operations processes, monitoring and compliance activities
- Design, develop and document coherent and consistent KPI and budget performance reporting dashboards for the wider Corporate Finance function
- Provide technical and other support for projects as needed
- Facilitate a collaborative work environment
- Assist in implementing processes, reporting and systems arising from transformation activities
- Support Treasury processes review and work with Treasury and Finance process owners and subject matter experts to understand, collect and document detailed business requirements
- Support Bank Account rationalisation project
- Understand and document key capabilities of BELLIN or new vendor application and identify how Treasury’s trade Execution, Trade Capture, Post Trade, Clearing, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, Cash
- Management and Settlement Processes would be enabled through the application
- Work with vendor and Treasury SMEs to lead on design of “To Be” processes and instruments that support all risk, cash management, compliance and operations requirements, including trade entry and all aspects of clearing and settlement for the range of cash and derivative products which are executed by the Funding and FX desk.
- Determine design to meet regulatory requirements at execution and post trade reporting and collateral management obligations of bilateral products
- Determine operational approach for interim state including training new Back Office employees, BELLIN legacy system setup, any feed/interaction with the same downstream systems and future design of BELLIN or New Treasury Management System (TMS) provider
- Engage in external benchmarking (other corporate clients). Adopt and implement industry standards to embed best practices for chosen processes and technologies. Research, understand and document best practices. Identify any configurations/customisations required to support “to be” processes and/or address gaps in functionality in vendor software
- Apply “Straight Through Processing” concepts to all “To Be” processes
- Ensure timely trade capture in internal system(s), process lifecycle events (rate resets, accounts setup, etc.) and resolve reconciliation issues in a timely manner
- Work with internal (e.g. Finance, Cashbook and Auditors) and external (e.g. Banks, Trade counterparties, Suppliers, Vendors) to ensure all problems/issues are identified and actioned in a timely manner
- Coaching wider team to enhance technical skills and embed “systems mind-set”
- Encourage best practice in model, reporting and systems design
- Providing support to wider Corporate Finance function on model design and development practices
- Create capacity in the wider team through development of improved reporting, dashboards, operational tools and processes
- Contribute to the operational and behavioural objectives of the team and organisational engagement
- Provide end-to-end support to Senior Treasury Manager on all corporate, aircraft and engine financing activities
- Maintain all documentation to support investment, hedging and cash management activities
- Support funding products and strategies including local market liquidity, regulations, and tax
- Maintain a register of the Group’s collateral pool, value and encumbrance
- Effective & Clear communication with internal and external clients. If you are a great communicator (both written and verbal) who is influential and builds good working relationships internally and externally.
About you
- Fully or part qualified AMCT, ACA/CIMA, CFA with relevant experience.
- Proven experience working treasury or a related area.
- Financial modelling experience.
- Skilled in report design, requirements gathering and testing.
- Highly developed problem solving skills.
- Strong and well-structured written and verbal communication.
- Able to manage a variety of different stakeholders & building rapport.
- Evidence of working with databases, visualisation software, automating reporting/processes etc.
