In a nutshell

As part of our amazing Training Design team, you will be responsible for the key design for all core Medical training for Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Working collaboratively with our Medical Services and Training Delivery teams, you will ensure that Aviation Medical (AvMed) training material is not only compliant in terms of regulatory content, but also reflective of our current medical risks. You will also include any learnings from post-event audits.

With a continuous focus on quality, you will utilise various sources of feedback to continuously improve the training experience and associated material.

Day to day

Maintaining the highest industry standard and company knowledge, you will share information with the team as appropriate.

You will ensure that all courses are designed to regulatory standards.

Delivering training in partnership with the Training Delivery team to trial material and provide coaching support to trainers, assisting delivery where necessary.

Responding to queries raised from the trainers/admin team in relation to training content, certifications and exams.

Keeping up to date in the latest thinking on adult learning theories and methods including online/digital learning.

You'll ensure that all systems are maintained with accurate and up to date information regarding course content and audiences.

Coaching others where necessary to the standard required and proactively learning others course material to enable flexibility and cross-functional working.

About you

Do you have experience in delivering medical or Aviation Medicine training? Are you passionate about designing comprehensive, engaging and quality material? Ideally you will have a trainer background with experience in delivering learning interventions in a professional environment.

You will have excellent organisational and project management skills along with a love of learning as well as teaching. With the ability to think creatively and cross-functionally, you will act as a subject matter expert in this field and execute everything you do with professionalism, sincerity and humility.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with the ability to deal with stakeholders at every level. You'll need a flexible approach as you will need you to cover other training courses in other subject matter areas from time to time ensuring cross-functional working.
