In a nutshell

Our Transformation teams are at the forefront of huge change here at Virgin Atlantic.
You will be part of a large team, the Engineering Transformation Programme (ETP) working to transform our technology across a fundamental part of our aviation business and responsible for the deployment design for all core systems training across Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Engineering departments. The systems content is largely provided by our chosen supplier, so we need you to provide us with the deployment design skills and creative flair to ensure the training reaches across the network.

Working collaboratively with our Programme Business Process Leads and Change Leads, you will ensure the training programme is department specific with supporting material and fully resourced on deployment.

With a continuous focus on quality, you will utilise various sources of feedback to continuously improve the training experience and associated material.
Ensure that a variety of training tools are available to remote workforces across the network
Day to Day
Maintaining the highest industry standard and company knowledge, you will share information with the team as appropriate.

You will ensure that all courses are designed to regulatory standards and fully compliant

Delivering training in partnership with the Programme team to trial material and provide coaching support to trainers, assisting delivery where necessary.
Organise and manage regular working groups to develop and lead the training design to meet the acquired standards with key stakeholder involvement.
Responding to queries raised from the Change Lead team and Business Workstream Lead in relation to training content, compliance and regulation.

Keeping up to date in the latest thinking on various learning tools and methods including online/digital learning.

You'll ensure the new system is delivered with accurate and up to date information regarding course content and audiences particularly where it enables a wide reach to our workforces across the globe.
Ensure the training programme is delivered to set timeframes whilst raising any key risks to the Change Manager
Factor in trials preceding the training deployment ensuring we capture the necessary feedback across Engineering and increase people engagement

Coaching others where necessary to the standard required and proactively learning others course material to enable flexibility and cross-functional working.
Provide analytical data on adoption rates and demonstrate success rates.
Dedicated to planning for continuous improvement training tools and materials post go live and ensuring support teams are fully briefed.


About you

You will have experience in delivering systems training programmes and instructional design experience with the ability to put the end user at the forefront of your work.
Experience of working in digital media would be beneficial.

Experience of working collaboratively with third party agencies would be advantageous in this role.

You will have excellent organisational and project management skills and the ability to hit the ground running.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with the ability to work with stakeholders at every level.

Training our Engineering teams is a vital part of the programme and requires an eye for detail and an ability to ensure you communicate with the whole team effectively.
