In a nutshell

In this exciting role, Senior Manager – Forecasting & Planning, you will be responsible for the development of robust, unbiased, and comprehensive capacity planning and field force planning across several business functions.

Day to day

You will work with several key areas including Contact Centre, Customer Care, Airports, and Clubhouses, with some light-touch support to Cargo and Virgin Atlantic Holidays Retail stores. This covers 365 days a year and involves over 1000 employees. The team of reports are differentiated as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Real Time, and Airport Resource Planning.

You will partner with business stakeholders across the organisation to understand the respective business area, constraints, processes, identifying solutions and defining business requirements to improve the forecasting and planning.

As new processes are developed, you will monitor progress and lead results. Ensuring that the correct number of resources are deployed at the right time to ensure that the service level agreements are met on a consistent basis and within budget, with opportunities for optimisation identified and deployed.

You will be responsible for a team which oversees forecasting, employee scheduling, adherence, and real-time management.

About you

We’re seeking an experienced workforce/capacity/field based planning professional who can work in complex multi-channel environments. You will have amazing people leadership skills too! If this sounds like you and you have the below skills/experience, we think you would love this role!

- Previous experience leading workforce/capacity/field-based planning in complex multi-channel functions.
- Extensive experience in driving high performing workforce management.
- A people leader with a track record of driving engagement in a complex, technical environment.
- An expert in telephony software/functionality. Knowledge of Genesys software and bolt-on’s is desirable.
- A naturally inquisitive mind who can balance this with ability to effectively engage and influence key collaborators.
- An analytical approach to problem solving, with high levels of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- An excellent relationship builder who can instill confidence through high credibility.
- Experienced in leading weekly/monthly performance review meetings, progress monitoring and generating reporting for senior leadership team.
- A natural communicator, able to convey complex messages and themes in a way that will engage others and drive understanding and consensus.
