Leading the evolution of our Business Intelligence capability as part of the overall Data function within Technology, this role will lead a team of technical and analytical Business Intelligence experts in order to develop and continuously evolve Virgin Atlantic's business intelligence platform.
You will keep track of emerging industry trends in the field of Business Intelligence and use these in your strategy of the definition, evolution, and adoption of this platform, working with the wider Data Team and our third-party partners.
Day to day
Some of your key responsibilities leading the Business Intelligence capability are:
- Contribution to the creation and evolution of the overall Data strategy
- Collaboration with Data LT colleagues to lead the implementation of the Data Strategy for Business Intelligence
- Responsibility for building Business Intelligence capabilities and technologies in a digital and cloud first mindset towards a self-serve model in the community outside of Data, working with BI leads in defined 'spokes'
- Developing, implementing and measuring the effectiveness of a training, toolset and coaching strategy
- Leading the delivery of requirements using agile methodologies to continuously enable our analyst community, in turn supporting enterprise-wide decision-making and operational effectiveness.
About you
Are you a passionate Data Professional and experienced in Business Intelligence?
Are you a motivated self-starter, ready to take ownership and help revamp how Virgin Atlantic embraces Business Intelligence technology?
In addition to the above, we're looking for our successful Senior Manager - Business Intelligence to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant qualification in an analytical discipline coupled with substantial experience leading teams
- Previous experience of working in a senior data position, analysing and reporting business results and KPIs/balance score card working with senior stakeholders
- Experience coaching and developing a team of technical experts and working effectively with third party suppliers
