This is a fantastic opportunity for Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence to join the Business Intelligence Commercial team, this is a great chance to make a real difference in what the business makes decisions on.
In a nutshell
As a wider Analytics team, and business, we are looking at our technical solutions from a new perspective and extending our on-premise data solutions to the cloud. We will be re-engineering the business analytics space, using a mix of cutting-edge tech including Azure Data Factory / Data Lake, SQL database, SSAS, Tableau, and Power BI, as well as integrating a machine learning platform.
You will be working within an agile team, developing ETL scripts to allow us to bring in all of our varied business data into a central data warehouse; creating rich dashboards, reports and other visualisations.

Work with teams to improve data quality within their respective products and platforms
Identify root causes of data issues and develop solutions
Work with software developers / data engineers to improve data quality on our state-of-the-art platforms
Report results in a manner which is both statistically rigorous and compellingly relevant.
Model data and metadata to support ad-hoc and pre-built reporting.
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
Drive operational excellence for data ingestion, transformation and publication to ensure confidence in the systems we build.
Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
Triage many possible courses of action in a high-ambiguity environment, making use of both quantitative analysis and business judgment
To succeed in your application for this role, you will have previous experience in a BI/performance or business analysis role. You will have a methodical and analytical approach to your role and enjoy providing insights to develop impactful recommendations.
You will have a strong understanding of actionable KPIs and business intelligence methodologies, whilst being familiar with query languages SQL, Python as well as statistical analysis and their application in R or SPSS.
A strong communicator, with excellent consulting and communication skills, coupled with the ability to also view the larger picture for widest maximum benefit of each project deliverable required. If the above sounds like you, we would love to hear form you!
