Salary: £24,636- £26,684 Plus shift pay
Hours: 4 on, 4 off, 2 days (0600-1800) 2 Nights (1800-0600)
Contract Type: Permanent, full time
Location: LHR.

In a nutshell

Aircraft movements and to ensure all Hangar or line ground equipment is cleaned, serviced, and inspected in accordance with the Technical Preventative Maintenance processes.

Day to day

Correct positioning of ground equipment, maintaining vehicles and ensuring the Hangar is tidy conforming to the 5S strategy.
Assist with the adhoc collection and carrying of equipment as required.
Perform routine maintenance of vehicles including regular checking / replenishment of fluid and oil levels.
Transportation of Nitrogen/Oxygen bottles for re-changing.
Assist the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in basic fully supervised Aircraft maintenance tasks. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor will allocate such tasks but only when the schedule and workload dictate and the Technical Preventative Maintenance is complete.

About you

Do you have experience as a Aircraft Maintenance Assistant, specifically with Tug Driving as a big part of your experience? If so, we think this could be the ideal role for you. If you feel you meet the below criteria, we'd love to hear from you!
- Recent experience as a licensed tug driver (highly desirable) with proven experience of towing Boeing 787's and Airbus A350 & A330 aircraft at London Heathrow Airport.
- Full knowledge of the airside/ATC driving rules at Heathrow Airport.
- As night shift is critical to the operation, a certain amount of flexibility is required to slip on to night shift to cover leave and sickness.
