In a nutshell

As a Digital Acquisition Manager you’ll play a part in delivering the digital acquisition strategy, driving traffic through paid search, aggregators, affiliates and online travel agents whilst achieving and exceeding revenue targets and core KPIs. Working within the ecommerce function you’ll optimise the traffic across all digital channels, making sure we are presenting our customers with appropriate promotional and trading solutions to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.

Working with our Digital agency you’ll ensure that the digital acquisition strategy is delivered aligned to budget spend which drives optimum quality traffic through our direct website as well as our aggregators and international sites. You’ll work alongside our marketing team to deliver seamless journeys to support the ROI of digital traffic / revenue acquisition activity to ensure spend is optimised to drive the best value for Virgin Atlantic Airways (VAA).

Championing the ecommerce function and teams across the business, demonstrating personal capability and contributing in building the function across the Digital and Distribution function.

Day to day

Delivering the on-line acquisition strategy in order to achieve budgets in line with the overall VAA strategic plan.

Review the daily metrics for each channel, ensuring traffic is not compromised and aligned to our route operations.

Working with the agency to ensure channel performance is optimised from paid search, aggregators, affiliate and display.

Ensure that incoming traffic is aligned to a seamless customer journey, with greater scope for conversion.

Working alongside marketing functions to drive traffic growth and return of investment.

Represent Digital at weekly trading meetings when required.

Lead the SEO strategy, working closely with the CX team to ensure frequent optimization of the website, both from a content and structure point of view.

Integrate SEO into digital roadmap (taking into account IDP and VIV) & deliver organic search visibility growth by working with digital, PR and media partners.

About you

Have you gained digital acquisition experience within a commercial, dynamic environment? Do you have a proven track record in defining and delivering aggressive, profitable growth traffic targets? Are you experienced with web-based analytics applications (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics etc.)? Then you could be who we’re looking for.

With strong analytical and commercial capabilities, you’ll be experienced using traffic acquisition and conversion drivers such as PPC and SEO. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written you’ll be hardworking and have a can-do attitude. With demonstrable experience understanding and applying user experience best practice, you’ll have the ability to influence others and be a results driven individual.
