In a nutshell

In this exciting role, you will be responsible to the Senior Manager - Flight Technical and Efficiency, the Flight Ops Co-Ordinator plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth running of Virgin Atlantic's Flight Operations. You will facilitate the effective communication between team members, pilots, and other parties.

Day to day

This is a varied and fluid role and on any given day you will undertake a number of different tasks and activities in order to ensure pur flight operations area runs successfully. These duties include: 

  • Notices to Aircrew (NTA)
  • Management Pilot and Duty Pilot Rosters
  • Flight Ops Familiarisation and Work Experience
  • Flight Deck Access
  • Recording of Meeting Minutes
  • Logipad Administration
  • Flight Technical Ad Hoc Support

About you

Do you have an excellent working understanding of how each of the different functions' work within an airline? Are you meticulous in your approach to work, with excellent organisational skills? If so, and you have the following skills and experience, we think you'd love this role! 

  • Previous experience within a commercial airline 
  • Experience in a Flight Ops department is advantageous
  • Familiarisation with aviation terminology
  • Strong organisational skills; ability to prioritise own workload
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable liaising with Senior Leadership, up to CEO level
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with PowerBI is highly desirable.
