Location: CAE Building, Crawley, West Sussex 
Contract: Permanent and 2 year Secondments

In a nutshell

Here at Virgin Atlantic we are recruiting Cabin Crew Training Specialists (CTS) across Safety and Security, Service, and AvMed. Are you passionate about delivering training, and setting up our people for success? Then read on.. 

As one of our training specialists you'll be key to the effective and professional delivery of training to our cabin crew and flight crew. You will develop and possess subject matter expertise in the training you deliver and craft the best learning for our crew to ensure accuracy in the application of standard operating procedures, medical practices and excellent in customer service.  

Our training is of high standards, and you'll deliver this using a range of learning methods and techniques, ensuring all regulatory compliance, quality standards, VAA policy and process will be fully achieved.  

Day to day

  • You will have the confidence and the ability to expertly facilitate training, demonstrating passion and be able to adjust your style as required to meet the needs of varied and culturally diverse audience  
  • It is essential that all training processes and practices you deliver are in accordance with the procedures as stipulated in training notes and within the LOI (Local Operating Instructions)  
  • Timely acknowledgement of all notices prior to delivery of training is required, together with complete accuracy of all training content, processes and procedures  
  • All updates and changes as communicated via IRMA must be acknowledged promptly 
  • Ensure training is compliant at all times and does not deviate from detailed processes and procedures. Delivering in line with all associated training collateral 
  • Role model excellence in delivery through effective, motivating, engaging and inspiring technical and facilitative skills training  
  • Consistency in achieving high standards of training must always be proven by following the accurate procedures and remain compliant  
  • Mentor and develop learners to achieve competence, confidence and gain the required skills to perform their role  
  • Deliver training within formal and informal settings, this will be across classrooms, Rigs Hall, external facilities and digitally led learning solutions. 
  • Role model excellent practice and inspire your delegates. Demonstrating proactive and regular awareness of business updates, news and performance to enhance training delivery  
  • Ensure the learning management system along with all other relevant systems are always updates with accurate information following course completion (e.g. learner attendance, accreditation and outcome i.e. examination results, certifications, and handover trainer notes)  
  • All company processes and policies must be followed to ensure the safety and security of all delegates e.g. completion of Health and Safety. Promptly advise relevant parties of any issues/problems rising from defective training equipment and accurately complete the Defects log  
  • As CTS you will be required to fly in rank periodically. All associated eLearning and courses must therefore be completed to ensure you are qualified to fly when required. 
  • CTSs are responsible for always demonstrating our People Leader qualities to learners and all customers.  
  • Where the behaviour of a learner falls below that of our standards it is the responsibility of the CTS to manage this in the first instance using the tools available.

Are you confident in delivering training to large groups of people? Do you have a passion in 1 of the following areas - Cabin Safety & Security, Service, AvMed? Then this could be the role for you! 

Alongside the above, we're looking for the following: 
  • Experience in delivery of training 
  • Knowledge and experience of the flying world 
  • The love for setting our people up for success 
  • If you have an accredited training or coaching qualification, then this would be advantageous
