In a nutshell
Our Reward team are key to the design and implementation of a truly and uniquely Virgin people proposition and the role of Benefits Manager is a crucial part if this. You will be accountable for our Benefits policy development and the smooth running of our benefits programs both in the UK and Internationally.
The focus of this role will involve budgeting, cost control, smooth exchange of relevant data between Virgin Atlantic and Suppliers and communicating the benefits internally.
As a key contributor of the Reward team, you’ll be partnering with HR and Business Leaders to design and deliver relevant and competitive benefit programs (core, voluntary, wellbeing). You will be accountable for ensuring that the agreed benefits are executed in alignment with the wider Reward Policy.
Day to day
You’ll constantly research, analyse, plan, implement, communicate and maintain new and existing benefit programs, policies and procedures in order to be responsive to the company’s goals and to ensure the company is competitive within the markets where it does business.
Creating and keeping up to date all policy documents ensuring that everything remains aligned to the Reward policy and that documentation is easy to find and to understand.
As an expert in your field, you will ensure that plans and programs remain in compliance with all local laws and legislation. You will independently research complex benefit issues proposing resolution, develop internal documentation of all processes and ensure all governance type documentation is current.
Constantly monitoring performance of our providers, you will ensure that all external parties deliver excellent levels of service, competitive pricing and relevant results.
Ensuring that all risk benefits are appropriately budgeted, you will constantly monitor spend against budget and look for saving opportunities whenever possible. You will also lead on lead all procurement activity.
You will be the expert for all matters related to pensions, including but not limited to auto-enrollment, contribution rates, and life time allowances. This will include ensuring that contributions passed to suppliers are accurate and that they have been received and accounted for.
Although there are no direct reports in this role you will play a crucial part in coaching, mentoring and sharing expertise with our Rewards Analysts.
