I interact with people every day and so I have to quickly build relationships for both of my roles as Cabin Crew and as Recruitment Assessor (RA). I use my customer service skills and organisational skills, and have to be flexible and adaptable. People skills are vital, and it's exciting to meet new people with different cultures, nationalities, and needs - and find out lots about them.
Of course being cabin crew changes your whole life, and takes you at least 6 months to get used to it! We really focus on customer service as it gives us all the ability to build really strong relationships with our customers.
When I joined Virgin, I really didn't expect to be able to do so many things and didn't know there would be other opportunities. I've been team leader on our Flying without Fear course and also did some PR work, promoting our brand.
I was delighted to get my role as Recruitment Assessor. It was something I really wanted to do and it's worked out really well. I've learned loads more about the business and it's improved my Cabin Crew position too as I understand even more about the role through interviewing for it.
I have also been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work overseas helping with the Virgin Australia exchange programme which was a great experience.
